A physician assistant needs to train for at least two years after obtaining their degree after which they are given their license to practice. Before the work experience, which is mandatory to obtain this license, they undergo severe training, a program that lasts for not more than two years. Different institutions will have different requirements for you to get admission into the course they offer. Usually, most colleges require you to be at least a graduate with two years of having attended college and some experience in any capacity in the health care industry. To be able to pursue a post graduation, the physician assistant should have graduated previously in an accredited program and be certified by the NCCPA so that he has a license that proves that he is practicing. Apart from all the studying and learning of theory, it is important that the physician assistant has some zeal to serve people so he may enact his learning practically and gain experience as in this profession, experience really matters.
